On 14th January 2013 civic association the Human Rights League sent an open letter to the Foreign Aid Department of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic, in which the lawyers of HRL express their concern over the lack of legal aid provided to foreigners detained in the detention centres in Slovakia. From 1st Janury 2013 detained foreigners do not have an effective access to the judicial review of the decisions of foreigners police on their detention.
